Ocean View School District Offices
17200 Pinehurst Lane Huntington Beach, CA 92647About the Name
Lark View
Lark was the second half of the Meadowlark names. It was a small school built in the center of a tract. It epitomized the neighborhood school concept. Lark was overcrowded on the day it opened and stayed open until only 156 students were in attendance. It operated in tandem with the special education school, Nueva View. This site is now used for the District’s Education Center (District Offices).
Nueva View
Nueva View was an isolated special education site next to Lark View. After it closed, the students were mainstreamed on to other campuses. The District’s Learning Resource Center and Reprographics Department (part of the District Offices) are now housed in this building.
Understanding the Master Plan Diagram
The Master Plan for this site is a diagram of needs, priorities and quantities. The goal of each Master Plan is to quantify these priorities and their associated cost. This Master Plan diagram should not be interpreted as a “design solution” for the campus. Read more about Master Plans.
